The quest for a new host
Thursday, April 24th, 2008 |So this is how it all got started. I have been hosting a couple of sites with a shared hosting company called Servage. I really can’t complain about them as they have been great for for the couple of years I have been with them. Unfortunately though, I have kind of outgrown them.
I use a dedicated host at my day job and really started to rely on things like SSH access and SVN so when working on personal projects it became quite a bummer not having access to these things. Also, a couple of the sites I was developing were becoming increasingly slow to load up (for no apparent reason).
So I decided to check my options…
